Puppy Love

As I mentioned yesterday, it was “peebs” birthday. And in our house we like to shower our pups (and kitties) with extra treats on their special day. So, just like we promised we whipped up some yummy puppy treats, decorated with candles, sang happy birthday and watched as they all four gobbled up the birthday delights! (by the way, Cassidy is 100% deaf due to a major ear infection in both ears that caused us to have her inner ears surgically removed. However, she is so sweet that she sat perfectly and patiently while we sang to her, allowing us to delve into our own selfish desire to shower her with super uber attention!!)

Here is the recipe for the homemade puppy treats if you have some furry friends you would like to share them with. They are easy and quick. Use organic ingredients and you will be confident in feeding them to your pet. Your best friend will be forever grateful for the special treatment…

-ONE LOVE-

Peanut Butter Doggie Treats

½ cups water(add more water later if required)
½ cup oil
2 eggs
3 tablespoons peanut butter
2 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
½ cup cornmeal
½ cup oats

Blend wet ingredients together. Whisk dry ingredients together and mix into wet mixture to form a ball of dough. Roll out and shape. Put onto a non-stick cookie tray or lightly greased one. Cook 20 minutes at 400 F. Turn off oven and allow the biscuits to cool in oven until crisp and hard. Store in airtight container.
